This Tahitian style Polynesian armband tattoo was prepared for Tito and it has three main elements intertwined by waves-like patterns: an octopus, a turtle, and a manta.
The octopus goes around most of the arm, with tentacles made of fish
(prosperity), actual octopus tentacles (adaptability and tenacity),
shark teeth (strength and protection in water), birds (voyage),
ancestors' steps, people (close family, relatives), and spearheads
(warrior, courage and strength).
The head of the octopus is shaped by a tiki for protection while a star
within a sun symbolizes direction and joy.
The manta includes shark teeth and a Marquesan cross for balance and harmony while the turtle has an all-seeing eye for protection, waves, and fish hooks for prosperity.
