This mixed Polynesian style band tattoo was prepared for Marco and it
includes the names of his daughters.
The shark teeth at the top and the stones at the bottom shape the band,
representing adaptability, strength, and protection.
The turtle in the center enclosed in a sun symbolizes the family
as a central point and as a source of joy and stability (the mountains).
The braid on the shell symbolizes union, and the two dots indicate
how important his daughters are to him. The Marquesan cross in the
center is a symbol of harmony and balance.
The tiki and the all-seeing eye serve as protection from all evil, while the manta symbolizes freedom.
The name Sofia is protected by the hammerhead shark and the name Giulia by a killer whale. Both names are also protected by the ancestors.
The other symbols that complete the design represent the help they will always be granted (the two chasing birds), prosperity (the fish) and tenacity (the hammerhead shark motif), together with koru and shark teeth near the names to symbolize the protection Marco gives his daughters.
