The manta (freedom) placed in the center of this band tattoo protects the sunmoon and the turtle.
The turtle represents the family of Alessio, whom this tattoo was prepared for; other symbols of their union are the flax leaves in the center and the braid below the turtle.

The gecko on the right symbolizes health and the sun moon on the left contains symbols for the warrior, tenacity, prosperity and help to the loved ones.

On the calf, the sun shaped by coconut leaves represents prosperity reached thanks to tenacity and skill (the hammerhead shark symbol and the adze).

The row of stepping stones closing the lower edge symbolizes what Alessio achieved and learnt along the way.
